I wavered. "It's a school night. I have a lot of editing to get done," and so forth. But, inspired by my new blog focus, I decided to show myself some love and take the time. The event had live music and several professional dancers who gave a wonderful demonstration. Then children up to senior citizens were led in hopping, twirling and exotic arm movements all to an Indian beat.
To sum up, I experienced a form of dance I've never tried before, got some exercise that made me feel good and had a great time doing it.
So don't drag your feet to "get some exercise." Pick an activity for fun! Like to bowl? When is the last time you went ice skating? Prefer something tamer? Enjoy a long, leisurely stroll through a museum. Anything enjoyable that involves getting out of the house and being on your feet.
Afterward, feel good that you showed yourself some love!
