Today's Tip: Unless you are a person who already has a flawlessly healthy diet (I do know a few of those people, but I'm not one of them), then add one healthy food to your consumption today. This isn't about trying to make grand life changes, weight loss, or anything past this day. It's just about doing one nice thing for yourself to feel good.
For example: When I'm uncomfortably bloated, I eat a green salad with light dressing for lunch. My current favorite is pre-chopped salads in a bag (I'm not big on food prep) with non-fat sesame-ginger dressing from Trader Joes.
Will I suddenly drop ten pounds or lower my blood sugar by this one salad? Of course not. The point is, it helps my bloating and I just feel better physically. On the emotional side, I'm also happy that I did something good for my body. Whole apples also give me a quick pick-up. Ambrosias are my favorite, and Honeycrisps next.
Anyone else have a favorite feel-good food?
