Our home internet service is, for some reason, not functioning at all during the day, but comes on at night. Little internet elves messing with me? I think so. At any rate, I've been making extra trips to the local library just to stay up on life. It's funny to think that something I didn't know existed until several years after it began, is now a vital necessity. But, there it is. I am trusting that someday very soon, the internet provider (or elves), will fix this problem. Do provider elves realize the immense power they have over me? I can only pray they never figure it out. Think of what they could do. "Now, Ms. Lavere, if you ever want to see your precious internet access again..."
So I've fallen behind in my online life. Here's the catch up:
1. Kids are back in school, giving me more time for writing.
2. The Wikomsette has come back to me for another "final" edit. All right, maybe the editors never actually said any of the other edits were "final", but I kept thinking they were. All I can say, is this book is going to sparkle like a diamond by the time it hits the internet "shelves". Providing, of course, that the internet elves do their magic in stocking said shelves.
3. That's it, because I have to finish this round of proofreading and get the notes back to my editor by early tomorrow, if the elves will be kind enough to deliver them.
Thought for the day: If I got by without something before, I can probably get by without it again. But that doesn't mean I won't crab about it. :)
