As chronicled in a not-yet-released memoir, Emerald Lavere struggled as a young woman to become a professional ballet dancer but was hindered by her full curves. Reflecting on the journey from disdain of her figure to appreciation, has inspired a new focus for her blog. One where every person can come to read, or to share, positive messages about loving ourselves at any age and size.

Emerald Lavere is a forty-something writer,and previous stage performer. She loves most genres of books, music, and dark chocolate. She is also a fan of most things Marvel, and Bachelor Nation. Ms. Lavere lives in Southern California with her remarkably good-humored husband, three children, and a pound doggie.
