So, October has been...a month. A good month? I guess so. School is going well for all my children, dance students are well on their way to readiness for the December performance, and I have finally completed the first draft of my NA Supernatural Horror novel! Hooray! Much editing has already been done between critique partners and input from my writers' group, but now the Beta readers have it in hand and will hopefully give me good notes to polish it up. The querying process is not far away.
October also had a darker side. I've written before of the depression issues of one of my children. Well, I wrote a poem about it. After all, it's personal and about someone other than myself (not that I don't feel pain for my children.) So I'll cut to the highlights/lowlights and just say, raising a teen that struggles with mental issues, sucks under-ripe lemons in vinegar.
Here's hoping and praying(hard) for a wonderful November. For the first time I'll be diving into NaNoWriMo, and hoping to come out the other side with a big chuck of The Wikomsette II, completed.
A Happy Halloween and Blessings to All!
