One week from today my first Blog tour will commence! I've been distracted lately with my new supernatural mystery novel underway, but it's time to promote the heck out of The Wikomsette. I worked long and hard on this book. I love my characters and the journey that brings them together. Please consider signing up to participate in this tour, or sharing the link below with any bloggers that may be interested. Reminder: This is an erotic sci-fi novel, appropriate for ages 18+. Thank you for helping make this book known to those readers who enjoy (as the publisher, Loose Id says) a "sexily ever after". :)

13. Nearly passed out from ecstasy on the release date.
14. Received first reviews. Shrugged at the less than good ones. Danced and clapped like a silly child for the great ones!
Though I will continue to promote the Wikomsette, it's now time to start the whole process again. Now I have a checklist to which I can refer for my current work in progress. Back to step one! Hooray!

At last, the school year has begun for all of my children. Time to break out a new "To Do" list and refocus on my writing.
The summer was fantastic for learning about getting a book to publication, with rounds and rounds of edits, and putting promotions into place. My lifelong dream of becoming a published author is attained! I want my book to do well. I want people to read it, love it, share it. To experience a world that grabbed hold of my mind and wouldn't let go until the last words were on the page. But this will not be the end of my story as an author. The door has been opened, the first steps taken. Other stories beckon now...

The Wikomsette can now be found on the Loose Id website, AND Amazon.com. I'm working on getting my author page up there as well.
I picked up the second and third books in the Chemical Garden series, but haven't had a chance to delve into them yet. Currently I'm halfway through Nora Roberts' High Noon, and wish to finish it. This is my first of her books. I can see why there would be widespread appeal of her stories, but her style is not so much for me. Still, I'm invested in the story now and want to see it play out.
It's been a long, good day, doing chores, errands, and spending a lot of time with my children who were out of school. Looking forward to having those hours of quiet to write, but still enjoying my children while I can.
Well, my first day of being a published author did not go any of the ways I imagined. No sitting around biting my nails, no ticker tape parades. Instead, I spent almost the entire day with one of my kids at the emergency room. It was not an actual emergency, but our doctor sent us there anyway, so we could get an ultrasound, posthaste! Thankfully, everything is fine, but oh! What a miserable day! It's astounding how many hours one can spend sitting around waiting for just a couple of things to get done. About seven hours, that's how many. So my big day came and went, but there were a few highlights; Several of my friends shared the link to my new book on their FB pages. Goodness sakes, it's too racy for me to even put up on my own personal page! So bless their hearts for spreading the word. Of course, I would do the same for them, even if they did write naughty stories, ha ha. Also, I got my first interview request for a book review blogger, and happily spent the evening filling it out. So, the start of my published life, was still a good one. :)
The Wikomsette is published!! At this moment it can only be purchased from the Loose Id website. http://www.loose-id.com/the-wikomsette.html , but I will keep the list of venues updated as they become available. If people enjoy reading it even half as much as I enjoyed writing it, then The Wikomsette will do quite well!
This is what happens when I let my most visually artistic child have free reign over my toenail polishing. It looks like a circus exploded. Oh well, it matches the explosion of thoughts and feelings whirling through my mind with my book release only ONE DAY AWAY!! :)
